My tiny 1 1/2 cup teapot was in need of a cozy. It swam in a regular-sized cozy, so I decided to make one (or two) to suit it. The pattern measures 9 inches by 11 1/2 inches before sewing.
I cut out two pieces for the outer part and two pieces for the liner:
I used iron on batting and followed the directions on the bag. I sewed the cover pieces together and the lining together, leaving the straight bottom open:
When sewing the lining together, leave about a 3-4 inch section open for turning at the top:
Place cover and lining right sides together and sew at bottom straight edge:
Turn inside out through slit and slip-stitch closed:
Push the lining into the cover and there you go!
It was so cute, I made two! The ladybug swatch is the lining for the the strawberry cozy.
