Princess Tiara

What’s with all this princess stuff? Is it bad for little girls to dream they’re princesses and adorn their heads with tiaras and their rooms with signs proclaiming them as such?

Will they grow up and look down their noses at doing their own laundry, no less anybody else’s?

I doubt it. My daughter had princess paraphernalia and her fantasy image of herself didn’t cross the boundary to her reality.

She does her own laundry, shares housekeeping tasks with her roommates, and the best part is that I get to wear her old tiaras while vacuuming. After all, if she were once a princess, what did that make me?

That’s right! And we know that I do love purple.
