I’ve been writing poetry and adventures for teens and children since 2004. My poetry has appeared in children’s, university, national, and international journals. My children’s work is included in Chicken Soup for the Child’s Soul (paid link)*, Highlights for Children, and poetry anthology Words and Other Wild Things (paid link)*.
Prior to writing fiction, I lived in Germany and traveled extensively throughout Europe. I trained as a classical ballet dancer, have a BFA in dance from Florida State University, and taught and choreographed for several years.
I’m a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the author of two children’s novels and two poetry collections. Before the pandemic, I served as the literature judge for my local PTA Reflections Art Program.
My husband and I live in Virginia USA and have two children and four rescue pets.
